Diamond kept falling out - worst place to buy from


Worst experience ever. My fiancé got my ring at Kay Jewelers . Within a few months one of the smaller stones fell out. That was two weeks without my ring to have it replaced. Within a few months later another small stone fell out and again another two weeks without a ring. I was told by a manager that if any of the diamonds fell out again to come and they will replace the whole ring. Well again a few months later for the third time another stone fell out. At this point I was angry. I went back to the store and the store manager told me that I had to call customer care myself to have it replaced and that there would be a $100 fee to have another ring sent to me. I was blown away that not only did another stone fall out, I had to call customer care myself and order the ring and pay $100 when I already paid $189.99 for the initially warrant!! I just couldn't believe this service. The manager was rude and didn't want to help. This store was not the store I had originally brought my ring from but decided to come a little closer to home. After this I immediately called the store where my ring was orginially purchased from and spoke with the manager. The manager apologized for the problems and told me that she would order a new ring for me with no charge but there usually is a charge of $100 to have it replaced. I asked if the ring could be made specifically in my size. I was hoping that this would solve the issues of the loose stones. I got the new ring about a month and a half later and the ring looked amazing. Well two months down the road ANOTHER stone fell out. I immediately called corporate. They found the record of the original purchase. The first return was listed as "ring tightening" not missing stone. The second repair was never notated anywhere in there system and neither was the exchange. The woman I spoke to said she couldn't help me unless I able to provide the "job numbers" or if the store was able to call and confirm by exchange. I've never had a worst experience anywhere before. I never have written a bad review but this just tops them all. Stay away from kay Jewelers. I do not recommend buying anything here.
